Safari Over View

This 3 days 2 nights safari to Queen Elizabeth national park will begin and end in Kampala Uganda’s capital and its largest city, it will take you to one of Uganda’s most biodiversity park in the south- western part of Uganda. Queen Elizabeth national park is gifted with very many wonders ranging from the big five mammals such as elephant, lion, leopard, buffaloes, hippo to small mammals like antelopes, waterbuck, warthogs among other, Queen Elizabeth national park also houses a big number of various species of birds, and primate species common one are the chimpanzee our closest cousins. The safari will take you to the savannah grassland to spot various species of mammal during a game drive, and also enjoy a boat cruise at the Kazinga channel that connects lakes George and Edward.

Detailed itinerary

Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Upon your arrival at Entebbe international airport, you will be welcomed and greeted by our tour company guide, he will brief you about the whole safari and latter transfer you to the south-western part of Uganda to Queen Elizabeth national park. You will have the first stop over at the equator crossing for photography and snacks, after continue with your safari, along the way you will be in position to sight banana and tea plantations, long horned Ankole cattle among other interesting views, have a second stop over at Mbarara for lunch. After, embark on your drive up to the park, check in into your booked accommodation for relaxation, dinner and an overnight at Mweya safari Lodge, Katara Lodge, Jacana safari lodge(luxury), kyambura game Lodge, Ihamba safari Lodge samba safari Lodge( midrange) Engazi lodge(budget)

Day 2: Game drives and launch cruise

Wake up early in the morning for a cup of tea/coffee to warm you up and then after you will be transferred to kasenyi area of the park to catch up with early risen from their hideouts. Animals expected to see this morning include lion, leopard, elephant, buffaloes, waterbucks, antelopes, warthogs among others and bird lovers, expect to see various species of birds during the game drives and the guide is readily available to give you relative information on any flora and fauna you meet on your way. After this wonderful activity you will embark on a slow drive back to the lodge for full breakfast and leisure. After lunch you will go for a two hours boat cruise along the kazinga channel that connects lakes Kyoga and Edward, the boat cruise will reward you with more opportunity to view various species of wildlife, games expected to see include schools of hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes and elephant will be seen along the shoreline plus various species of birds that live and feed on the lake like the fish eagle among others. After you will be driven back to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay at Mweya safari Lodge, Katara Lodge, Jacana safari lodge(luxury), kyambura game Lodge, Ihamba safari Lodge samba safari Lodge( midrange) Engazi lodge, Hippo Hillo Lodge, Simba Safari Camp (budget)

Day 3: departure

Wake up leisurely for a heavy breakfast; after you will be driven back to Kampala, stopover will be made at Mbara for lunch. If your flight is on that very day you will be transferred to Entebbe Airport to meet your departure flight or if it’s on the following morning you will have an overnight at Elephant Safari Village or its equivalent.
