Detailed itinerary

Day1: Depart for Bwindi impenetrable national park

Depart from Kampala and head to the south western part of Uganda to Bwindi impenetrable national park (8-9 hours). You will have the first stopover at the equator crossing for photography and snacks. We will then continue to mbarara for lunch (Agip motel). Your drive will take you through Uganda rolling green hills through the highlands, also known as the ‘’Switzerland of Uganda’’  your road will even head higher to where you can see the triangular peaks of the Virunga Volcanoes of Rwanda and the Congo. Drop dawn into the valley to Bwindi impenetrable national park a home of the endangered mountain gorillas; arrive into you booked room in the evening for leisure as you’re waiting for tomorrow’s most interesting activity at the park gorilla tracking. Dinner and an overnight at (luxury) Buhoma Lodge, Chameleon Hill Lodge, Lake Mutanda Lodge, (mid-range) Silverback Lodge, Gorilla safari Lodge, Gorilla Mist Camp, (budget)Engazi Lodge, Ruhija Gorilla Friend Camp, Wagtail.

Day 2: Gorilla tracking

After an early morning breakfast, the guide will head you to the park headquarters to receive a short briefing about the dos and don’ts while with gorillas after, follow the ranger guide to the steep densely forested hills before coming across the gorillas camouflaged in the vegetation. Gorilla tracking is unpredictable as it can go from a half or full day in the forest searching for our cousins meeting them depends on where they spent the last night from, so a reasonable degree of fitness is required as well as a sturdy pair of walking shoes/boots, long sleeved shirts or blouse, battled water and sometimes packed lunch. Day 3: Depart to Parc National Des Volcans

Take breakfast before making a picturesque journey to Rwanda through the beautiful terrain of the rolling hills with terraced landscape. Drive through the winding road and terraced landscape and reach Kisoro for lunch and then drive to Uganda /Rwanda boarder and cross to Rwanda, (the clocks go backwards one hour). Arrive in the afternoon check into your booked accommodation, if you have the evening free take in a panoramic sunset over the volcanoes. Day 4: gorilla tracking

After breakfast, go gorilla tracking in Parc National des Volcans. Tracking the gorillas in this light mountain forest on the slopes of the Virunga is a supernatural experience. The walks might be difficult, but an encounter for a family of gorilla is rewarding. You are reminded to come with tracking gears like study pair of walking shoes and some physical fitness is needed as meeting them depends on where they spent the last night from.  Day 5: Drive back to Kampala

After breakfast time permitting, you may go for a boat ride on Lake Bunyonyi and then after depart to Kampala/hotel /airport to meet your departure flight back home
