Safari Over ViewThis five days safari to Bwindi and Lake Bunyonyi will begin and ends in Kampala Uganda’s capital and its largest city. The safari will enable you track gorillas in Bwind which is one of the three protected parks in the world to host these rare species and later transfer to lake Bunyonyi and enjoy the canoe ride on the lake one of its kind. Lake Bunyonyi is known as the deepest crater lakes in Africa.

Detailed itinerary

Day: Arrival at Entebbe international airport

Upon your arrival at Entebbe international airport, you will be met and get greeted by our elephant safari guide/driver who will later transfer you to your booked accommodation for leisure and latter dinner and an overnight at (budget) elephant safari village, (mid-range) Cassia lodge,(luxury) Hotel Africana

Day2: Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable forest national park

This morning after breakfast, you will be picked up from your accommodation after breakfast and later transfer you to the south western part of Uganda in a drive of about 9-10 hours on the way up to the park. The first stop over will be made at equator crossing for photography and snacks. You will have an experience how the difference forces of nature operate, after head to Masaka and later to Mbarara for lunch at (Agip Motel). After this one hour stopover, you will proceed with a fantastic views throughout up to the park arrive at the park in the evening, check into your booked accommodation for dinner and an overnight at Buhoma Lodge, chameleon Hill lodge, Lake Mutanda Lodge, mahogany lodge (luxury), Silverback lodge, Gorilla safari Lodge, Gorilla Mist Camp (mid-range), Engazi Lodge, Ruhija Gorilla Friend camp, Gorilla Valley Lodge, Buhoma Community Camp Ground, Wagtail (budge)

Day 3: Gorilla tracking

Early morning breakfast and then after the guide will transfer you to the park headquarters for a briefing about gorilla tracking and also gets you assigned to a gorilla group. After follow the ranger guide to the forest to begin the activity which is regarded as the most fascinating activity on earth.


Gorilla tracking is fabulous fan to watch in their natural habitat, however reaching the gorillas is unpredictable as it can take a half or full day in the jungle looking for our close relatives, and since tracking is done in the rainy forest, it can rain at any time so a reasonable degree of fitness is recommended as well as tracking gears like long sleeved shirts and blouse, strong shoes/ boots, jacket, bottled water and sometimes packed lunch. However ounce you land on these giants you will forget all the hardness you’ve passed through and utilize the one hour you are permitted to be with gorillas. You will meet them while doing their daily activities such as feeding, playing, making nest, mothers breast feeding among others, take as many photos as you can, although you are not allowed to us a flash camera. Other forest dwellers like black and white colobus monkeys, baboons, chimpanzees will also entertain you during gorilla tracking activity, after the activity come back at the lodge for relaxation. If you have energy this evening go for a community walk to meet the local people around the park. Day 4: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

After breakfast you will embark on a 4 hours’ drive to Lake Bunyonyi one of the deepest lakes in Africa and it was named due to very many small birds found on the lake. Arrive in time for lunch and later in the afternoon take a canoe ride around the lake with opportunity to view various species of birds like the fish eagle, egrets among others. You can decide to do some Cray fishing around the evergreen islands. Meals and overnight at the Farout Camp, Bunyonyi overland camp

Day5: Departure

After breakfast, depart for Kampala for lunch at the Gallery Café before proceeding to the airport to meet your departure flight back home
