Detailed itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to bwindi forest national park

Meet and greet with our elephant safari company tour guide/driver who will get you briefed about the safari and later start your journey by 7.30am to the south western part of Uganda.  First Stopover at Mpambire a local community known for making local drums and crafts admire and buy yourself souvenirs, after proceed to the equator crossing, stopover for photography as well as taking snacks. We will continue with our journey to Mbarara for lunch, from here take a long drive up to the park, Pass by mountains, tropical rainforest and bamboo forest during the nine hour journey. Arrive in the late evening for leisure at your booked accommodation as you’re waiting for tomorrow’s most interesting activity that’s gorilla tracking. Day 2: Gorilla tracking

This morning take a cup of tea/coffee and then after you will be transferred to the park headquarters before 8.00am to receive a short briefing about gorilla tracking and also gets you assigned to a gorilla group. After, follow the ranger guide to the rain forest or bamboo covered slopes to begin the activity possibly the most interesting activity done on earth. The walking can sometimes be tough and long with some difficulties since tracking is done in the forest, you are remained to come with strong shoes or gumboots, long sleeved shirts or blouses, insect repellents, bottled water and sometimes packed lunch. Meeting gorillas is unpredictable it can go to half or full day in the jungle searching for them so a reasonable degree of fitness is recommended. Ounce gorilla are met you are allowed to stay with them for only one hour, gorillas may be met doing their daily activities such as playing, making nest, feeding, glooming among other observe their behaviours, as well as taking as many photos as you can (you are reminded that flash cameras are not allowed) not only gorillas but also expect to see other primates like chimpanzee, black and white colobus monkey. if you still have energy this evening go for a community walk to meet the local people around the park ( batwa) these people will entertain you through their cultural music and dance and they will also take you through their history, hunting skills farming skills among other. Day 3: Second gorilla tracking

You will again report to the park headquarters for a short briefing about the dos and don’ts while with gorillas before 8:00am, head to the forest but this time track in another gorilla group, each gorilla group has its own experience. After retire back to the lodge for leisure dinner and an overnight at (Luxury) Buhoma Lodge/ Mahogany Lodge/ Chameleon Hill Lodge/ Lake Mutanda Resort (mid range) Engagi Lodge/ Silverback Lodge / Gorilla Safari Lodge/ Gorilla Resort Bwindi/ Gorilla Mist Camp, (budget)Ruhija Gorilla Friends Camp or Travellers Rest Hotel, Gorilla Valley Lodge or Buhoma Community Campground

Day 4: Bwindi –Kampala

This day is reserved for departure, after a cup of tea/coffee, you will be driven back home with stopover at Mbarara for lunch and at the equator for photography. After continue to the airport to meet your departure flight back home
